Tube Pro PiP Chrome extension
Tube Pro PiP processes video information and audio locally to provide its YouTube viewing features. We do not operate a backend that receives your browsing activity, captions, or audio. The extension has no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not require a Tube Pro account.
1. Scope
This policy covers the Tube Pro PiP Chrome extension, including its picture-in-picture player, captions, subtitle translation and appearance, playback controls, audio equalizer, cinema mode, video filters, loops, shortcuts, and ad-blocking features. It does not cover the Tube Pro PiP iPhone/iPad app, our website, or third-party services.
2. Information processed by the extension
- Preferences: caption languages and styling, playback and audio settings, video filters, cinema settings, ad-blocking preferences, toolbar state, and keyboard shortcut assignments are stored locally using Chrome extension storage.
- YouTube page and player information: the extension reads the current YouTube page URL and video identifier, playback state, available caption tracks, caption text, and relevant player responses to operate its features. This information is processed within your browser, rather than sent to us.
- Request and authentication information: to retrieve available captions and translations, the extension may temporarily retain and reuse YouTube request details, including request URLs, methods, headers, and bodies, within the YouTube page session. Signed URLs or request headers may contain authentication or session information. This information is used only for the relevant YouTube requests and is not sent to a Tube Pro server or stored in our accounts. Tube Pro does not ask you to enter a password.
- Audio: the equalizer and spectrum process the playing video's audio locally through browser audio APIs after a user action. The extension does not request microphone access, record audio, or upload audio.
- Keyboard shortcuts: key events are checked locally to recognize configured actions. Shortcut assignments are saved; typed text and a history of keystrokes are not recorded.
3. Network requests and third parties
Caption and subtitle-translation requests go directly to YouTube. Depending on the request, YouTube may receive the video identifier, requested languages, and normal connection or session information, such as your IP address and existing YouTube cookies. YouTube controls the availability of captions and translations. Tube Pro does not send caption text to an external AI or translation provider.
YouTube and Google process information under their own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy. Visiting our website or a link from the extension is separate from the extension's local processing and may expose ordinary browser request information to the destination website.
4. How information is used and shared
Information is used to provide the extension features you select and remember your preferences. We do not sell user data, use it for targeted advertising, or send it to analytics providers, data brokers, or developer-operated servers. The extension does not collect a history of your browsing across other websites.
Our handling of user data follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Access to YouTube information is limited to providing the extension's stated, user-facing functionality.
5. Permissions
- Storage: saves extension preferences on your device.
- Scripting: connects the packaged extension controls to supported YouTube tabs, including tabs already open when the extension was installed or updated.
- Declarative network request: applies packaged ad-filter rules to supported requests initiated by YouTube, according to your ad-blocking preference.
- Access to https://www.youtube.com/*: enables player controls, captions, audio/display features, and supported advertising filters on YouTube pages. The extension does not request access to all websites.
6. Storage, retention, and deletion
Preferences remain in local Chrome extension storage until changed, cleared, or removed when you uninstall the extension. This extension does not use Chrome Sync storage to sync those preferences. Temporary player and caption data are held in browser memory during the page session; closing the relevant page ends that session. We do not maintain server-side copies of this extension data.
7. Your choices
You can disable individual features, change preferences, restrict website access through Chrome's extension settings, or disable or uninstall Tube Pro PiP. Restricting YouTube access prevents features that require it. Disabling the extension alone does not erase saved preferences; uninstall it to remove its local extension storage.
8. Security
The extension packages its executable code locally and does not load remotely hosted extension code. Subtitle content is handled as text. No system can guarantee absolute security; keep Chrome and the extension updated.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its revision date if our data practices change. Material changes will also be communicated through the extension or its Chrome Web Store listing when appropriate.

Kết nối mạng và bên thứ ba

Quyền truy cập

Lưu trữ, xóa dữ liệu và lựa chọn của bạn
Cài đặt được lưu cục bộ cho đến khi bạn thay đổi, xóa hoặc gỡ tiện ích. Tiện ích không sử dụng Chrome Sync để đồng bộ cài đặt. Dữ liệu video và phụ đề tạm thời được giữ trong bộ nhớ của phiên trang; đóng trang sẽ kết thúc phiên. Chúng tôi không giữ bản sao dữ liệu tiện ích trên máy chủ.
Bạn có thể tắt từng tính năng, đổi cài đặt, hạn chế quyền truy cập website, vô hiệu hóa hoặc gỡ tiện ích trong Chrome. Hạn chế truy cập YouTube sẽ làm các tính năng liên quan ngừng hoạt động. Vô hiệu hóa không tự xóa cài đặt; gỡ tiện ích sẽ xóa bộ nhớ cục bộ của tiện ích.
Bảo mật, phạm vi và cập nhật
Mã thực thi được đóng gói cùng tiện ích, không tải mã tiện ích từ xa. Nội dung phụ đề được xử lý dưới dạng văn bản. Không hệ thống nào bảo đảm an toàn tuyệt đối; hãy cập nhật Chrome và tiện ích. Chính sách này chỉ áp dụng cho tiện ích Chrome, không bao gồm ứng dụng iPhone/iPad, website hoặc dịch vụ bên thứ ba.
